"We have used Nigel for three projects over the last 3-4 years. Sequentially the jobs were one exterior, one interior and one exterior again. Every project is executed better than the previous. Our home is built on a steep slope from front to back and access to the upper floors of the house is difficult. Nigel took his time and safely finished the project. On the first project, the paint was difficult to match but again, Nigel worked hard to get it right.
Subsequent projects have been a little easier and we appreciate his consistent work ethic, capability and attention to detail. He has 'graduated' to a machine lift/basket to access the more difficult areas and that seems to improve the efficiency.
It should be noted that Nigel is fully committed to safety for both he and his helpers. This is important for all homeowners and is often overlooked.
We have found Nigel to be professional in all of his dealings with us and while it is in an expectation, we don't see it always in every trade we employ.
In summary, we would not hesitate to recommend Nigel/Rocky Mountain Painters for any job that they deem themselves capable. "

An Interior project at our Fernie residence has just been completed by Rocky Mountain Painters Ltd.
Nigel promptly returned our initial call and arranged a visit to discuss the project. We had the opportunity to inspect the company's credentials, including photos of completed projects, and letters of reference. Nigel measured and examined the areas we wanted painted, after which he prepared a written "Painting agreement" detailing what was to be done and the "agreement price".
The company's credentials and Nigel's business like approach impressed us, and the estimated cost seemed reasonable. We signed the agreement and set an approximate date for the project to begin. Right on schedule and at our convenience , two painters arrived. During two consecutive days they cleaned and sanded all areas to be painted. With a minimum disruption to our household, they completed the project- protecting all areas as the painted and cleaned up at the end of the day.
Their efficiency and excellent workmanship impressed us, and the cost remained exactly what was estimated. We are completely satisfied with the job they have done and look forward to contacting Rocky Mountain Painters for our next project.

I Hired Rocky Mountain Painters to paint the entire interior of my home last spring and I must say I was very impressed by their work. First of all Nigel's prep work before the painting was started was very impressive. He came to do the prep work and help move the furniture. The last professionals I hired wanted everything moved before they came, but this was not the case with Nigel.
Nigel and Stephanie's painting was awesome, in each room the walls and ceilings received two full coats of paint. Their neatness in painting was exceptional. The painting around my cupboards was beautifully done free hand without tape. I hope Nigel will be working in the Fernie area whenever I need some painting done because he would be the one to hire.

Letter of reference for Nigel Purdy and Rocky Mountain Painters.
I hired Nigel and his team of painters to paint the entire main floor of a house that my husband and I had recently purchased. This included the walls, ceilings, frames, closets and cabinets (inside and out).
I met with Nigel to discuss what needed to be done and found him to be very pleasant and professional. The price that he quoted me was extremely fair for the amount of work to be done. His team of painters was very talented. Their work was done well and they were also very professional. Any touchups or problems were addressed immediately. At the end of the job the rooms were cleaned and garbage was removed.
I was very impressed with Nigel. He was courteous at all times and discussed the job progress with me every day, either by phone or in person. I would highly recommend Nigel Purdy for any paint job you require. I certainly will be hiring him again in the future.
